This painting is by William Francis Young. His use of heavy imposto applied with palette knife exhibits masterful skill, yet little is know of him, as he's not listed in either Hughes or Davenports. The frame of this painting is from Burlingame, California. Prior to coming to Bodega Bay Heritage Gallery, it was sold by a San Francisco auction house from the estate of a prominent California collector.
