Peruvian Benigino Yamero Ruiz was born in 1880 and arrived as a teen aged immigrant in San Francisco in the late 1890's. His work was influenced by the French Barbizon school, and is similar to William Keith of the same period. He died at age forty-nine in San Francisco.
